Grant's Story

Grant has many roles in this life.  He is a loving husband, father, pastor, writer, evangelist and oh, so much more!  He is also a 4th stage cancer sufferer.  Grant was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer several years ago - an event that has changed his life dramatically and irrevocably.  Thanks be to God, his treatment for cancer has been effective, but chemotherapy affected his heart and he struggles now with heart related issues.  He's been admitted to the hospital multiple times in the last year and taken to the ER more times than you can imagine.

But Grant is also a Jesus and Holy Spirit-centered man.  When he speaks of the faithfulness of His Savior and the promise of heaven, you can read his emotion and devotion in the tears he sheds.  Grant paraphrases Romans 8:38-39 this way:

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither diagnosis, or chemotherapy or radiation, or surgery, or scans, or bloodwork, or anything else in the cancer world, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Along with his wife and best friend Nancy, Grant is a faithful and beloved member of our Monday Zoom Support Group.  As much as our support may minister to him, Grant ministers to the group like the pastor and shepherd that he is.  And we are honored to walk this hard journey with him.
